In contrast to the policy for the O3 campaign that ended in March 2020, we will treat approved GWE follow-up programs as standard ToO programs, governed by the current policy (https://noirlab.edu/science/observing-noirlab/observing-ctio/observing-soar/proposing-soar/targets-opportunity-overview). Classical observing time awarded and scheduled through this process will not be automatically extended or augmented to account for losses due to bad weather. Long-term status may be granted to a proposal for which the principal science goal of the proposal cannot be achieved without the full allocation of time. This policy has been revised since 2020, and should allow well-designed GWE follow-up programs to achieve their goals. Updates on the NEWFIRM commissioning schedule can be found on the NEWFIRM webpage. The 2022B Gemini Call for Proposals will include several important new features including support for the Astronomical Event Observatory Network (), dual-anonymous review process (DARP) support, and a category for JWST synergies.Gemini and NOIRLab will be hosting virtual workshops near the time of the release of the Call for Proposals which will discuss these new options, and provide time for Q&A.
